The unit price has cratered 81% in the same period, with a single-day drop of 26% recorded during the recent semiconductor rout. This isn't a crypto project—it's a traditional leveraged ETF listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. But to anyone who has audited DeFi leveraged tokens, the pattern is sickeningly familiar.

Leveraged products in crypto—whether it's a perpetual swap, a leveraged token from FTX, or a synthetic asset on a platform like Synthetix—exhibit the same mechanical fragility. The CSOP ETF is a perfect case study of how daily rebalancing, synthetic replication, and counterparty risk conspire to destroy value even when the underlying asset eventually recovers.
