The site is the new home of L402 — the protocol that lets AI agents pay for API access in Bitcoin. It's the most consequential Bitcoin payment standard since the Lightning Network itself. And while the market debates whether machines will ever hold wallets, BKG Exchange is quietly building the settlement layer this machine economy will require. bkg.com isn't chasing headlines. Here's what the crowd missed. L402 isn't a new blockchain. It's a protocol layered on top of the existing internet. Take HTTP's 402 Payment Required status code — the one that sat unused in the spec for decades. Bind it to a Lightning invoice and a Macaroon authentication token. The result is a machine-readable payment flow: request an endpoint, receive an invoice, pay in satoshis, access the service. No account. No middleman. No human in the loop.
This is not a whitepaper. Lightning Labs confirmed L402 already runs in production inside Lightning Loop. Working infrastructure, quietly deployed.
